Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return
the items to us for a full refund. Returns are accepted
as long as they are returned to us within one week of the
purchase date, and only if the goods are unused and in
their original packaging. Custom ordered items, clearance
products and certain in-store sale items, when indicated,
are not returnable. Please note that shipping charges
(either to you or for returning) are not refundable.
Price Guarantee
We're famous for our low prices
and we therefore can guarantee the price of the products
you purchase from us. So should you find an identical product advertised by
an authorized local distributor for a lower price within 30
days from the date of purchase, we will refund the
difference to you. (Please note that this excludes any
manufacturer's direct pricing, liquidations and below wholesale
cost pricing. On-line pricing must be from an authorized
Canadian dealer and include any applicable shipping, handling
and taxes and only if shippable from them within seven
business days.)
Sales Taxes
As we ship from Ontario, we are required by law to charge
both the GST (7%) and PST (8%) for any shipments within
Ontario. If we ship directly to you out of our province,
we will then only charge you GST (or HST if applicable)
and no provincial sales taxes are added to your order.
If we ship to you outside of Canada, we do not charge any
Canadian sales taxes. You may however be responsible for
any import taxes and duties that may charged by your government(s)
as well as applicable brokerage charges.
Should you pick up your order from
us, we are required by law to charge you sales taxes.
If you take your product out of the province and/or country,
you can apply for a sales tax refund from the applicable
government authorities.
Privacy
Upon completing an in-store purchase from us, we may request
your name and address so we can keep track of purchases
with us. Please note that information is used only internally
and we assure you that we will never sell any customer
information in our database to anyone or share that information
with any third party (unless required to do so by law or
legal process).
To further ensure the privacy of our customer
information, we maintain our customer database on a separate
computer system internal to our company that is not attached
to this web server nor in any way to the internet. Hence
our database is not accessible to any 'hackers' or other
outside intruders. We have also designed our system
so that payment information (such as credit card numbers)
are not maintained within our customer name and
address database (our customer master file). We then further
encode and maintain all of our customer data in such a
manner that is not easily readable by any other computer
system.
If you buy on-line
with us, we will require some personal information in order
to be able to complete a transaction as well as to contact
you to arrange for payment. While we may also use this
information to stay in touch with you by way of future
e-mails, we guarantee that if we do we will always provide
you with an option to opt-out of receiving future mailings.
In addition, unique identifiers are collected from web
site visitors to verify the user's identity and for use
as account numbers in our record system. And our site uses
cookies to keep track of your shopping cart. We use cookies
to identify you so we can retrieve your information so
you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site.
Furthermore, from time to time we may use your IP address
to help diagnose problems with our server or to help gather
broad demographic information.
We truly respect the
information given to us by our customers and have taken
stringent measures so as to not abuse that privilege. Our
business has been built over the past 50+ years on the
basis of earning the respect and trust of all of our customers
and the introduction of computer systems and going on-line
hasn't changed our philosophy!
